UP Express into downtown Toronto

Follow the “Train to City” signs. The UP Express station is at Terminal 1, next to the Terminal Link platform. From Terminal 3, take the free Terminal Link shuttle train to Terminal 1. Allow extra time for walking and changing trains.
Choose how to pay. Tap a contactless credit/debit card, mobile wallet or PRESTO on an UP Express reader before boarding and tap off with the same card or device at Union: the adult fare is 9.25 CAD. A regular adult ticket costs 12.35 CAD, available online or from a station machine. Activate an e-ticket at least five minutes before boarding.
Trains normally run every 15 minutes, stopping at Weston, Mount Dennis and Bloor before Union. Bloor is useful for the Dundas West area; Union suits the Financial and Entertainment districts.

Take bus 900 Airport Express to Kipling station. Board at Terminal 1, Ground Level, Column R4, or Terminal 3, Arrivals Level, Columns C8–C12. The bus takes about 20–25 minutes to Kipling.
Continue east on subway Line 2 for Bloor Street. For Union Station, change at St George station to subway Line 1 southbound via Union. The 60–75-minute estimate includes changes and typical waiting; traffic and service disruptions can add time.
One TTC fare covers the connection. Tap your own PRESTO, credit/debit card or mobile wallet on boarding and use the same payment method when transferring within two hours. Cash costs 3.35 CAD: bring the exact fare and ask for a paper transfer for your continuous onward trip.

Use the licensed taxi rank on the Arrivals Level: Door D at Terminal 1 or Door E at Terminal 3. Pearson taxis charge regulated flat fares to Toronto destinations and accept major credit cards.

Collect your bags before requesting a ride. Enter your accommodation, compare available vehicles and follow the pickup directions after a driver is assigned. Check the number plate and driver details before getting in.
Terminal 1: regular Uber pickups use Ground Level zones 4–5 between Doors Q, R and S; Lyft uses zone 3 by Doors P/Q. Terminal 3: regular ride-app pickups use the Arrivals Level around Doors B/D. Premium services can use different doors, so the app’s instructions take priority.
Allow roughly the same driving time as a taxi, plus the driver’s arrival time. Fares and vehicle availability vary, including overnight. Pearson also permits Hopp; check its app if you already use it.

Does a UP Express fare include the TTC subway?
No. UP Express is outside Ontario’s One Fare programme, so an onward TTC ride needs its own fare. The TTC bus-and-subway connection described above stays within one TTC journey.
Do children need a train or TTC ticket?
Children aged 12 and under travel free on UP Express and the TTC. Older passengers need their own valid fare; youth discounts depend on the operator and payment method. Check the official fare rules when travelling with teenagers.
Where do I board the airport train for the return trip?
At Union Station, follow signs for UP Express / SkyWalk. Its boarding area is separate from the subway platforms. Check the departure, allow time to reach the platform and add the Terminal Link connection if your flight leaves from Terminal 3.
What if I am staying in North York or outside downtown?
You may not need to travel via Union. GO bus 94 serves Yorkdale, Sheppard–Yonge and Scarborough Centre; GO bus 40 serves the Hamilton–Richmond Hill corridor. Both leave from Terminal 1, Ground Level, Columns Q2–Q4. From Terminal 3, take the free Terminal Link first. Use the GO planner for your stop, current fare and departure.
